Information for Group Leaders
If you have learners who don't fit into formal classroom based education, we offer a range of meaningful, practical experiences that release potential and provide stimulation for learning.
If you have a group of people who would benefit from being outdoors, developing new skills in arts and rural crafts, we can provide experiences and discoveries that are just for you.
We are able to offer a varied range of outdoor practical arts and rural craft activities. We can provide both accredited and in-house awards as well as the John Muir Award. We tailor our delivery to the needs of individuals involved.
Our staff of experienced, fully qualified teachers and volunteers are all CRB (Police) checked.
How to make use of Wyldwoods
There are several ways to experience things at Wyldwoods.
Adults with learning difficulties or other disadvantaged people can access us by enrolling through the partnership links that we have with Walford and North Shropshire College and Shropshire County Council Community Education. They become students through one of those oranisations, and we take care of all the paperwork. Short, medium or long term courses with embedded basic skills are available, and these can be half or full day sessions.
Another way is through schoolteachers linking in with our provision for half day sessions throughout the academic school year (prices available on request). We also provide small group sessions for young people at risk of exclusion from education for whatever reason (prices available on request).
Groups of local individuals from the wider community can access Wyldwoods through organised workshops that we provide from time to time, demonstrations, talks and other activities. These are funded through grants from charitable organisations. Please contact us if you have any ideas for activites for your group, there may be ways to make provision on a voluntary basis.
We have comprehensive policies and procedures (all available on request) and dedicated insurances for all of our activities.
Contact Steph via email or telephone for further details.
